Internal Experiences Can be Managed and Changed
Yes, you can learn to manage your anxiety and not let it get in the way of your life. I will work with you to understand your experience, isolate and identify the triggers that provoke your anxiety, and work with you to develop a new internal state. We will spend time talking about your experience, allowing you to process emotions and move beyond your fears. If your anxiety is trauma-driven, we will work to address the underlying issues. Together, we will work to change your thought patterns, and not allow negative thoughts to take over.
Depending on your needs, we may use Experiential therapy, Mindfulness, EMDR, Ego State therapy, CBT, DBT and/or Narrative Therapy. I am committed to working with you in an accepting and supportive way, giving you the space you need to grow and change. Usually change happens incrementally, but occasionally we may identify a tool for you to establish a new perspective and significantly more control right away.
